Awesome fresh! Tommy's is the best sushi restaurant in Orange County! It might be the best sushi restaurant in Southern California, California. I used to go here once a week for many years, but then we moved away and we came to visit and we stopped by because it is a must have! I highly recommend Tommy's Sushi!
You're still the one I want Tommy's Sushi! Tucked away in the corner, I just love this place and I don't get to go nearly enough since I moved away. The best baked green mussels...hands down! I've tried to recreate it and can't ever replicate it. Not even close! Someone needs to find me the recipe! On this night we took our daughter and she loved it too! The food is such great quality. The staff are super awesome! Not just kind and friendly but super funny and charming. I just want to be friends with everyone. I love the authentic style seating in a couple booths. I know it is a little outdated inside but what it lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in quality of food ten fold! Never ever take those baked green mussels off the menu.
Have been going to this treasure of a restaurant since about 2000. It's retained its great atmosphere and food quality through the years. Our family highly recommends Tommy's Sushi!
Hidden gem in Tustin! They have a great poke bowl that has affordable and good quality fish. The entrance is a little suspicious, but go through the door and you'll be greeted with a cozy Japanese interior.
Ambiance is great . Everything you order from here is delicious. The service is fast and they always make sure that you have everything you need .
Origato Mr Roboto! Tommy-san good place! This place had me turning Japanese, I really think so! I came here with a Godzilla appetite and the place did not disappoint! Walked out of the with the stomach the size of a Toyota, "Oh what a feeling!" I needed the helpful Honda guys assistance to get me out of the chair. Loving me some Tommy's and will be back! Now just need to head home so I can release all that fish that I happily consumed.
If you like having a variety of fish in one bowl, definitely recommend the poke bowl from here. I would say that Tommy's poke bowl meets halfway between chirashi and poke where it's centered around the fish and not so much on having a bunch of other toppings. I really liked the different kinds of fish that were included and the quality seemed fresh as well! I got the medium size which was the perfect portion for me (there are also small and large as well although small comes in a miso soup sort of bowl so it would be good if u want it as an app) The staff were super friendly and made sure we had a great meal. This is a great place to stop by if you are in Tustin and want some good Japanese food!
Wow - never have I been to a sushi place that feels like I'm in a 80s movie. I've also never been to an amazing sushi place that has an American-sounding name. Tommy's Sushi was recommended by co-workers and we had time to go over for lunch. It's tucked away in the corner of a plaza but right when you walk in, you're transported to a different era. It's dark, moody and tons of character inside with the fun and boppy 80s classic music jams we all love. It kind of makes you feel like you're in the Karate Kid movie era (not being stereotypical at all). Their menu is so on theme too - there's a Chuck Norris roll for example. I really like the bento box lunch menu selections and I decided to go with the Eel with rice box with a side of Uni roll. So tasty and delicious! Everything was packaged and presented in the most authentic way! The eel was so fresh and broiled to perfection. The Uni was creamy and flavorful. The vibe is so cool here that I wonder if it's any different at night - like does it turn into a karaoke lounge or something because there are light strings on the ceiling. Overall, what a fun and unique place to eat sushi!
Tommy's has become my go-to Japanese restaurant in Orange County! They're tucked in a tiny corner of a plaza that's not very obvious but their food is always scrumptious and on point They have a huge menu including appetizers, omakase, special rolls, poke bowl, things from the sushi bar, and their combination that comes with rice, salad, miso soup, California Roll, and teriyaki chicken in addition to 2 more items you can pick from (mix tempura, chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, salmon cheek, arabiki sausage, sesame chicken, gyoza dumplings, sashimi, or sushi. Make sure you ask for the dynamite sauce on the side! It's quite spicy but the sauce smells and tastes amazing and goes perfectly with anything you dip it in Awesome and friendly staff as always!

Tommy's is my hands-down favorite sushi spot in OC. I have been coming here for over 20 years and my dad has been for over 30. Ishi is the best sushi chef. They are always all so friendly and the fish is excellent. Fantastic quality food and service. They make onigiri. Their poke bowls are just the right amount of spicy. Their eel sauce is the best around. And the orange they serve at the end with plum wine. Perfect!
